The ceremony/party that was held in 3 Degrees , FX , Jakarta , attended by mostly gadtoraders and kaskusers, and other media : )

Well seems  we are already entering highspped conections everywhere.. so it’s becoming a common things, that connecting to internet everywhere we go. The world becomes so small, easy to find out, no place to play “hide” and “seek” anymore.. :p  especially with 3G/HSDPA Gadgets .. like this notebook, Dell Inspiron mini 9. Mac Intel is getting more well known recently, since it’s first launch in May 16, 2006 with Mac Book series (intel processor), replacing The Ibook G4 Series (Power PC processesor). Why Macbook become a booming that time? it’s all because of the Macbook is multi OS Platform enable. It means you still can install windows and other os inside macbook. You can run the os /switch it when booting. It’s becoming a great opportunity for any 3rd party software developer to create products that can support both mac osx and windows.  One them is known as Parallels. Parallels is the first application that can run window inside mac.  This products launched only weeks after macbook has been launched, and become a world premiere in drag and drop between OS  :P 

You can run any windows application, game and others with parallels.

Can you imagine, what kind of laptop that cost you for only 12 Dollar ???… well don’t expect too much but.. this laptop has being developed in india by a group of people that attending the MIT International

Development Design Summit . These include, U.S. graduate student Derek Lomas, Anuj Nanavati of India, MIT graduate Jesse Austin-Breneman and other designer.

Based on Apple II-based machines currently on sale in India other devices that plug into televisions, they want to update/upgrade the systems with more memory, web access through cellphone tethering and actual storage.

“We see this as a model that could increase economic opportunities for people in developing countries,” said Lomas, part of a team that’s trying to develop a $12 computer at this month’s MIT International Development Design Summit. “If you just know how to type, that can be the difference between earning $1 an hour instead of $1 a day.”

They aim to build a stripped down computer-like device for about one-tenth of what Negroponte’s One Laptop Per Child project is creating.

MIT’s Nicholas Negroponte has been working since 2005 to provide $100 laptops to Third World kids, but Lomas and his colleagues want to knock the price down even further.
